Members and friends of the chapter are certain to enjoy the outstanding Camp Ticonderoga menu and rustic feel while learning about new fishing techniques or local conservation efforts. Don’t forget to be prepared to take part in some of the various chapter raffles including our monthly 50/50 raffles.
Confluence Gatherings start at 7 PM.

September 12, 2017 – Welcome to the first Confluence of our 2017-2018 season! The chapter will welcome in Jerry Darkes, author of Fishing the Inland Oceans. This will be a fun presentation involving some of the Great Lakes best shoreline fall fisheries.
October 10, 2017 – Scientific Angler staff member, Erik Johnson, will give us a great presentation titled “Anatomy of a Fly Line”. Learn about the manufacturing process, different tapers and other questions you’ve always asked about fly line.
November 14, 2017- Our first ever Member Adventures Night! Join us as several chapter members share their best fishing trips of the year. Presentations will include photos, fishing tips and guide recommendations.
January 9, 2018 – Clinton Valley friend Dennis Kline (formerly of Mystic Rods) gives a great presentation about fly rods. Learn about the manufacturing process, rod flex, rod warranties and selection of rod weight for your next trip during this Fly Rod 101 presentation.
February 13, 2018 – MDNR fisheries biologist, Cleyo Harris, gives our annual State of the Fisheries presentation.
April 10, 2018 – James Spica of Orvis Royal Oak gives a great presentation just in time for the upcoming trout opener. As a contributor to the Michigan Trout Trails program, James will share with us his “River’s Less Traveled” presentation.
