Paint Creek Rod & Fly Festival

Mark you calendars for September 13th! Clinton Valley’s premier event of the year is right around the corner. The Paint Creek Rod & Fly Festival is held annually from 10:00AM to 6:00PM in the Rochester Municipal Park.

Like year’s past, the event will feature over 25 Michigan based fly fishing vendors, conservation groups and guides who are ready to spend the day talking fly fishing with all attendees. This year we will feature vendors such as Orvis, Mystic Fly Rods, Schultz Outfitters, the Golden Hackle Fly Shop, Tight Lines Jewelry and many, many more. These retail vendors will be joined by members of several different chapters of Trout Unlimited, the Michigan Fly Fishing Club and the Clinton River Watershed Council.

The guys from Scientific Angler will be hosting our demo casting area and a special youth fly tying tent lead by Tyler Befus will allow for local area kids to learn a litlle bit about the art of fly tying. All of this occurs while a full schedule of fly fishing related presentations is scheduled at the new ampitheater in the park.

For the first time ever Clinton Valley has partnered with the Paint Creek Fly For Hope (an annual trout fishing tournament). To learn more about this fundraising tournament visit www.pc1f.jigsy.com. Along with this partnership, the group from Ryan Rocks Outdoor Adventures will be hosting a youth bluegill fishing event on the Rochester Municipal Pond.
