In 2009 Clinton Valley Trout Unlimited completed an erosion control project on Paint Creek. This site is located at the Paint Creek Trail bridge just north of Tienken Rd. Over the years heavy amounts of stormwater had created a major erosion scar that lead directly into the creek. This project helped to repair the bank of the creek and stop further sedimentation of the creek’s substrate.
The Tienken Rd project was funded by CVTU. Several members of the chapter and staff from the Clinton River Watershed Council provided all of the volunteer labor to make this project possible. Due to the high traffic area along the Paint Creek Trail this project was highly visible to anyone using the trail. A special thanks goes out to the local jogger that stopped and volunteered his time to help with this project.
