The Clinton Valley Chapter of Trout Unlimited bases its philosophy on these words: enjoyment, environment, and education. We firmly believe that trout fishermen of all styles should have the opportunity to fish first quality water. We feel that the enjoyment of the pursuit of trout come not from just catching them, but also from fellowship and the appreciation of the environs they live in.
To further the appreciation our members have for the pursuit of trout and the environs they live in our chapter is committed to providing several different educational programs to foster this conservation-minded philosophy.
Our largest educational outreach program we sponsor each year is the Salmon in the Classroom program. To learn more about this program click here.
The chapter’s goal is to provide additional educational opportunities to our members and the communities our members live in. Some of these opportunities may include:
- Fly fishing / casting instruction
- Fly tying classes
- Stream monitoring training
- Riparian land management training
While it is our goal to include these programs in our chapter’s educational outreach schedule, we are limited in the volunteer resources needed to properly schedule each event. If you or anyone you know are interested in volunteering to help develop a CVTU educational program please contact our Education Chairman, Mark Tracey.
